Fun with shaving cream and more
with water then crinkling plastic wrap over the tag...let it dry then peel off the plastic wrap and reveal the cool background. for me wax paper technique is my pick for favorite because it is just so simple to do and it makes creative backgrounds. basically you just wad up a ball of wax
even criss-cross them. press into an ink pad then print on tag. think everyone had a good time getting inky and creamed! all this fun happened at Maggie's Place here in Milford.

Kiss it!

O.K. did that title get your attention. lol! kissing technique that is....kiss stamp to stamp is where you ink up a solid image with one color and ink another image with a different color then stamp it onto cardstock. you can see the effect on my horse card. now for the bird card I just inked up an acrylic block and stamped it three times then over stamped it with the bird image. Taught both of these cards in my last Adult Ed. class and they were a big hit.

Welcome to day one of our blog hop! This month my theme is a technique....graduated colors. For this technique I used acrylic blocks and inks for my colors. Today we are showcasing I am Thankful stamp set that is full of fall sayings and two fun images.
My scarecrow card is done with inking acrylic block then over stamp images with black ink. Turkey card is done with pieces of leftover rubber on an acrylic block.

Simple Salutation 53 - anything with wings!
This week at Simple Salutaions #53 we are flying! the theme is Anything with Wings! so let the bugs, angels and fairies fly in the sky this week. I did a one layer card today and the acrylic block technique. Acrylic block technique is where you put ink onto your block then spritz it with water then print it onto cardstock. Makes for some fun watercolor effect blocks then stamp over it with a basic black ink. Actually you could use just about any ink pad to overstamp I just wanted my bugs to pop so that is why I used black. Next I added a few self sticking gems to finish off my card. Please remember to visit our other design team members blogs Vickie and Steph's to see what is flying over there.

Silly Shells sneak peek
Spellbinders Nestabilities
dies. Hope you are not tired of seeing this type of card from me. Technique done on this card is what I call color block (might be another name out there if so let me know and I'll change) which is where you press ink pad to clear acrylic block and press to cardstock. I did a little twist to this technique.....after pressing on two colors of ink pads I spritzed it with Ranger Perfect Pearl mist to give it some sparkle. It worked great! just gave it a little more punch to the color. After it dried I over stamped the trio of shells with archival jet black ink.
