Whimsical flower vines
This week for Jennifer Rzasa Tuesday #altenewchallengelive theme is Freshest Find. The way Jen describe Freshest Find is use new things or anything in our stash that we haven't used. They can even be gently used that we got from a friend. Whimsical Flower Vines die set is a wonderful keyhole system from Altenew stamp company that I've had in my stash for months but never used ... so, I guess it fits the theme for the challenge.

More Luna Moths
I am enjoying making Luna Moth cards. For some reason I'm drawn to bug rubber stamps. I started by stamping this big Luna moth in the center of a full sheet of cardstock, then stamp the moth along the sides of the cardstock. Next I cut the stamped sheet of cardstock into four panels measuring 3 3/4" x 5". I got out some of my blending brushes, and just blended whatever color was left on them onto card panels. Adhered the stamped cards to 4" x 5 1/4" black card panels. Adhered those panels to colored A2 size card bases.
stamps used: Unity stamp co. Sacred Flight Luna Moth stamp set
For my next set of cards I stamped the Luna moths with different color inks onto a full sheet of white cardstock.
Repeated the above instructions except this time I didn't do any ink blending of color on the panels.Abacus
An abacus, also called a counting frame, is a hand-operated calculating tool which was used from ancient times, in the ancient Near East, Europe, China, and Russia, till largely replaced by handheld electronic Calculators, during the 1980s. Why the lesson in an abacus, because Jen Rzasa latest Altenew #altenewlivechallenge theme is Time Travel.
supplies used: Altenew Abacus die, Delicate magnolia die setI used the abacus because it goes way back in time. The magnolia flower was just to dress up the abacus.

Terrific Toadstools
This stamp and punch is called Terrific Toadstools by Stampin' Up. Just had a play with this toadstool stamp/punch set...it is easy to stamp and punch out. The only thing is it only punches out the big, and medium toadstool caps, plus a simple stem. All the other toadstools and images have to be fussy cut out but I don't mind that so much when they are simple images like these toadstools and such. I got out my Autumn colors for these tags and one of the cards. The other card I did in dark red and pink just for fun. I saw this color combo on Pinterest. If you look at the pink toadstool the cap is fussy cut out, and mounted with foam tape. The brown big toadstool is completely fussy cut out and mounted with foam tape. I will be making more things with this Terrific toadstool set soon. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.
Ice skating
This week #altenewchallengelive for Jen Rzasa Tuesday challenge them is Time travel. We are allowed to use our own imagination so I went back in time when I was a child. Remember when you were a kid, and you had to walk to the pond ... in my case Mill pond to go ice skating.
supplies used: Altenew winter ice skate die set and Pond flowers die setI kept these ice skates simple because that is what mine looked like all those years ago. I added some brown ink and marks at the toes to show scuffing just like my skates.

Luna Moth
This is a big Luna Moth that will fit across an A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") card as you can see in pic. For this purple (yes, purple but in the pic it looks blue) Luna moth I stamped it, blended colors in the image, then fussy cut it out. There is no die for this moth at this time, but maybe Unity will have one in the future...otherwise I'm ok with fussy cutting it out. I layered a 4" x 5 1/4" of the Moonborn Flight paper onto a base card. I didn't have paper to match the color ink I used, so I just blended the same ink onto the base of the card before I adhered the pattern paper. Next I adhered the fussy cut Luna moth over the pattern paper, added word with mounting tape...added some inexpensive self sticking gems that I got at our local Dollar Tree store.
stamps/supplies used: Unity stamp co. Sacred Flight Luna Moth stamp set, Moonborn Flight paper packNow for my second card I stamped the Luna moth directly onto a white panel. Again blended some rose pink ink for the wings plus yellow and brown inks onto the body of the moth. Then I cut the panel down to 3 3/4" x 5". I purposely cut off one of the wings of the Luna moth with the idea to make a bookmark with it later.

Rainbows with stencils
Believe it or not I am having fun with rainbow colors! Yes, me ... the one who said she didn't do rainbow colors. Continuing with Jen Rzasa's Altenew Tuesday #altenewchallengelive Radiant Rainbows.
Basic instructions:Cut strips of Altenew masking paper - 1/4" and 1/8". ***You can use any masking paper you have in your stash.*** Layer a stencil over the panel with the masking paper strips. Blend the color of the rainbow over the stencil. Remove the stencil. Before removing the masking paper strips... with the same colors blend color over the stenciled areas. Remove the strips to reveal the fun. Layer the stencil panel to dark panel then onto base card.
I couldn't stop there sooooooooo I did one more card doing the technique I call Joseph's Coat with a stencil twist.
You can see how I did this technique in this post with a video I did back in 2020! Wow, didn't think it was that long ago since I did this technique. Time flies when having fun. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.
Radiant Rainbows
This week's #altenewchallengelive with Jen Rzasa is Radiant Rainbows. Now to start I will say it ... I don't usually do rainbow colors on my cards. It's just not me, but I got into the colors, and using Altenew Stencil Art: Nature Splashes ... which is my favorite of the Stencil Art sets I own.
I did the best I could with the inks I own for the rainbow colors. For this first one, yes I said first one, I ended up doing a bright pink, dark green, yellow, a medium orange, blue, and a violet. Well, as close as I could. I really like the way it turned out. For me the Nature Splashes stencil set worked out for all my cards, and bookmarks.
Flag tag
I have been making tags for years, and I still enjoy making all sizes of tags.
This tag is for Jen Rzasa Altenew #Altenewchallengelive. This week's theme is use a mini stamp set.
I found Giving Back mini stamp set in my stash, and since yesterday was Flag day ... I thought it was meant to be. It is a two step flag image with a saying from J.F.K. ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. I used all the tiny images from this set plus a bunch of enamel dots. As you know if you keep up with my blog I do like my Altenew enamel dots. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.
