For these cards I used up things I had done already, like shaving cream backgrounds, and die cuts.  Yes, I have a baggie full of die cuts ready to be used on my cards.

Card #1 measurements:

A2 card: 4 1/4" x 11" 

pop up strip: folded to create a box

card #2

Card #2 Double pop up measurements:

A2 card: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

inside layer: 8 1/4" x 5 1/4"  folded in half. With card folded in half, cut on folded edge to create pop ups.

Card #3 Explosion fold measurements:

A2 card: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

inside explosion fold: 7" square

Forgotten July swap

 I say forgotten because I forgot to post this MFP card swap I did back in July and the wonderful returns I received.  Sooooooo without further delay here is my card (look to the left) .... Today is my suggestion for this Oldies but Goodies special blog hop.  I did explosion cards and if you know me I like cards that just don't sit there!  and I couldn't stop at showing just one type of explosion so there are two tutorials for you to try out these cards.  I hope if you try an explosion card you will leave me a comment so I can go see.  enjoy the hop and good luck in drawing.

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to a fun couple!  couldn't resist using this old couple from Rogue Redhead Designs and fun playful saying fromStarvingArtistamps.  I knew this card would be perfect for them because they are such a fun couple and have been together for years and they both have a wonderful sense of humor.  It's an explosion card which I have been having fun with this month.  I will have a tutorial on explosion card in January.

Here are my explosion cards for the stamp set Bow Hunting.  Believe it or not I did bow and arrow shooting with my dad when I was a wee little kid.  All I remember is going to some woods where there were other people and targets.  It was fun to shoot arrows at the targets and I did o.k. so these stamps make me remember that memory.  We only shot at targets no animals.  My father was too much of an animal lover but he believed animals were wild and belonged outside even our pet dogs.

This month my theme is an oldie but goodie ...... explosion folds! Boy, oh boy, did I have a lot of fun making different explosion cards! Here's another basic explosion card (on the left). The butterfly on the inside is from Lots of Words stamp set that was featured earlier this week. To the right is a folded oriental screen card, just to change things up a bit and on the inside I used one of last month's release stamp sets called Out on the Town . Did a lot of coloring using my Prisma color pencils and you know how much I like my color pencils.  Remember to comment on our blogs for a chance to win one of the new release stamp sets.  It's time to continue on to An'Jenic's blog to see her beautiful butterflies.
