Fishy spinner card

Did this card for no other reason then for fun.  I hadn't made a penny spinner card in years so thought it would give it a spin.  teeheeheee  I changed it up a little by making it a double spinner.  I used Lawn Fawn slide on over dies, which makes it easy to make the channels, for the fish to slide or in this case spin across the card.

Beware of the Spider!

Yes, beware of the spider!  some of them bite I know from experience...although it was years ago that I did get bitten by a spider I've never forgotten.  Oh, well on with this fun penny spinner card!  I got carried away and even made a couple of ATC penny spinners.  These cards are like shakers you just can't stop playing with them!  Please visit Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog to get all the details on this card plus a video.  This is only my second video, (click on tab at top of blog or left sidebar you-tube to check the other videos-remember to give a thumbs up if you like it.) please let me know what you think.  Also want to give a shout out to my camera man, my hubby who grumbles a little then seems to have fun seeing it when we finish.
 

Cards for Background Check day 3 design break

The parakeet card is a suspension card....the parakeet is stamped on circle with clear thread taped to card so when you twist it up ..... then open the card it spins around.  this is one of the backgrounds from day 2 of Background Check class by Jennifer McGuire Ink.  A fun technique where you stamp an image with dye ink on glossy card...let dry....overstamp it with VersaMark...let it dry...color over all the stamping with darker dye ink.  clear as mud, right?
Second card has a masked off moon and horizon then blend distress ink with blending tool.  next over stamped with black ink and colored in the pirate ship with Prisma color pencils.

Had so much fun teaching this bunch of ladies stamping!  It was a

pleasure and I'm very appreciative they like taking classes with me.  This was at our last class and I asked them to pick their favorite card they made in our 3 night session.  As you can see a few of them liked the stick tree card then the masking cards.  We also did a penny slider, penny spinner and a pop-up.  thank you ladies!

Pennies slide and spin

For our second night of card making ..... we'll be creating a penny spinner card and a penny slider card.  Using the SU word window punch makes creating these cards so easy!  gotta love punches!  I've been making penny spinner cards for quite some time now, and they still make me laugh out loud to see them spin round and round across the card.  When you pull the slider you reveal a hidden message.  Students are always amazed at how easy these cards are to make once I show them.

To start off I will tell you my theme for this month................spinners, ribbon sliders, and ribbon message pull cards so this month you will see cards that spin, slide and pull!  Last day of our hop and it is just as much fun as the first days.  Here is another ribbon slider card ..... tutorial here or here ....... the fun part of this card is I stamped and colored the grill then cut off the top of the grill added a mini brad to make it move even more!  fun, huh?  Next is a Play Ball spinner card.  This card makes me think of day one of baseball where some special person throws the first ball to the catcher.  Again please visit Patty's blog here to see one of my spinner cards in action.  It's time to check out Janine's blog for all her good times grilling and playing ball.

Primitive farm spins!
