Mixed Media w/Friends #14, 15 &16
I'm behind in showing our MMw/Friends jumbo playing cards so, I thought I would show three in this post.
Sue #14 uses graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland paper. That's it just the paper...simple but effective.
JAGS #14 Night birds - blended background technique with TH moon stencil.
JAGS #15 graphic 45 Pumpkin paper.
JAGS #16 More cut outs from graphic 45 paper.
Guess we were on a kick with graphic 45 papers!

#12 and #13
I used Catherine Pooler Puffin party stamp/die set to create this fun MMw/F jumbo playing card. With mixed media the sky is the limit as you can see with the puffins standing on top of each other.
JAGS #12 Believe in magic
She did some beautiful ink blending for the background of her MMw/F jumbo playing card. She stamped a fairy in black on a trio of mushrooms.
Sue #13 Little boy
Here I used an old book page for the background then layered TH paper doll/small talk on a corrugated tag. Added some ripped papers and a couple other die cuts for interest. Glued some beads to simulate the ground. Distressed the background with ink.
JAGS #13 Inspire
She started out with black cardstock for the base. Added an oval that was ink blended then mounted a beautifully colored sunflower onto the oval.
Hope you liked a look at our MMw/F jumbo playing cards. If you want to see from the beginning look here and to see more of the MMw/F journey just type mixed media w/friends in the search block on the left side of my blog.

Mixed media w/Friends #5
I have been bad with showing our MMw/F (mixed media w/friends) cards lately. Below are two MMw/F cards from way back in May 2021. I will catch up showing more soon.
MMw/F #5 by sue
you can click on pic to enlarge to see suppliesThe best part about making these mixed media style projects is you get to use up lots of things in your stash. For instance, I have had this pad of fabric paper for a year, and I finally used it!

Mixed Media w/Friends (MMwF)
MMwF #3 by sue - stamps used: Catherine Pooler Call Me stamp/die setFor the background I swiped on some Adirondak acrylic paints, which I have had in my stash for years. In altering these jumbo playing cards we are trying to use up our stashes ... my friend and myself who are making these cards and trading them between ourselves. On top of the paint I added some gold foil and gold thread then glued on a pre-made cardboard tag. The doily and phone dies were adhered to the tag.
MMwF #4 by sue - stamps used: Stampin' Up Poppies, Altenew leaves, Make an Impression sayingI had a left over piece of Herringbone technique so I used that for the base. Again using up things from my stash, I added a chipboard star that I covered with liquid pearl paint and small beads. stamped and fussy cut the flowers but the leaves had a die to cut them out. Just adhered everything to the base card to finish it.
MMwF #3 and #4 by JosetteJosette swiped paints on her cards to make fun ocean and sky looking backgrounds. For her ocean theme she stamped the images directly over the painted background. For her sky background she fussy cut flowers in a jar and punched out little dragonflies to add to her card.

Mixed Media w/Friends #2
stamps used: Art Impressions (bingo lady), unknown (little bingo card)I had fun with my second MMw/F card because just before I made this card I did virtual Bingo with some friends.....so I thought how appropriate to do a bingo theme for my card. I used the actual bingo card on my jumbo playing card and the raffle ticket for my background. The rest just fell into place when I remembered I had the bingo lady stamp and saying. I rummaged through my stamping drawers and found an old wood mounted little bingo card so had to use it, too. Unfortunately, the wood mounted bingo card is so old I can't read the company name on the side of the wood.
this card is my friend's MMwF cardBasically what she did was sprayed the background with dylusions lemon zest ink spray. Other things she used were clear gesso, mini mod checkerboard stencil, Unity Simplicity stamp set and TH small talk saying.
We are having fun doing mixed media techniques on these Jumbo playing cards. You see more about these cards and our first cards here in this post.
