Corny Birthday Present

Corny Birthday Present
Here is my husband's birthday present.  I discovered a Do it yourself Ceramic studio.  What fun! I painted four corn on the cob dishes for my husband. 




supplies:

celebrate – ATC Mini Words EZMount stamp set (SI)

cornstalk – Scarecrow EZMount stamp set (SI)

Happy Birthday – Party Numbers Posh #69 (SI)

Staz-On Jet Black ink pad (SI)

Colorbox Pigment Mediterranean ink pad

White wrapping paper

empty box




Instructions:

1.Cut white wrapping paper to fit box that will be wrapped.

2.Ink cornstalk with multi color Colorbox Mediterranean ink pad. When inking stamp remember to ink it vertically as not to contaminate the different colored inks.

3.Stamp the inked cornstalk image vertically across the wrapping paper.

4.Ink cornstalk again and stamp under the vertically stamped images in the opposite direction.

5.Repeat this process till the paper is stamped completely. Allow the pigment ink to dry on it's own or speed up drying time with heat tool.

6.Stamp Happy Birthday with Staz-on Jet Black ink three times in the middle of stamped wrapping paper.

7.Stamp celebrate with Staz-on Jet Black ink three times above and below the stamped Happy Birthday.

8.Wrap your present.

Winter Wonderland challenge - no christmas stamp or paper


Here is my entry for no christmas stamp or paper over at Winter Wonderland-sun. christmas challenge
A while back a bunch of us got together and used purchased Holiday cards that were sent to us to make postcards & tags.  It was a lot of fun and I thought very creative.  The two postcards are cut up in equal strips layered on a piece of 4 x 6 cardstock with glitter in between the strips.  The tags are cut up cards in different sizes.  Hope you enjoy these creations.  stamping sue

Daring Cardmaker - 1st letter of name - challenge & contest


The challenge for Daring Cardmakers-friday challenge this week is to create a card using the 1st letter of your name but the catch is ...... three times!  So for my card I did "S" for Sue and the three things are:
1.  snowman
2.  snowflakes - cuttlebug background
3. scarf

More Postcard Buddies - oct. 2009

Country for October was Germany which turned out to be a challenge for all of us.
Mine has an image of Marlena Dietrich (The Stampsmith), Zepplin (hand carved by me) and a mug of beer (RBBB) using the colors of the flag - red/black/yellow.

Grace went a whole other way.  She treated it like she was going on trip to Germany. 






Muriel also used the flag colors with items of Germany.

Kissing Camel


I called this Kissing Camel because I did the kissing technique on the camel. 

KISSING CAMEL
stamp credits:

Camel, sleeping lamb, star, joy – Peace On Earth EZMount stamp set (SI)
supplies:

Brilliance Graphite Black pigment ink (SI)

Colorbox Gold pigment ink

Gold embossing powder

heat tool

Self sticking crystals

Paper Shaper circle punches

Marvy circle punch

Fiskars circle cutter

corner rounder punch

Ranger pop dots

3M double stick tape

decorative paper (SU)
Instructions:
1.Cut a piece of black cardstock 10” x 5”. Fold in half to form 5” square card.
2.Cut a piece of gold decorative paper 4 ¾” x 4 ¾”. Round the corners with punch and tape to black square card with double stick tape. Save scraps to use later.
3.Cut piece of red cardstock 5” x 2 ½”. Round the corners with punch.
4.Stamp saying Joy with Colorbox gold ink on bottom of red strip. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat with heat tool. Tape stamped Joy card to right side of black square card.
5.Make a 3 ¼” circle out of gold cardstock with Fiskars circle cutter. Mount on card with Ranger pop dots.
6.Punch out a black circle with Marvy circle punch and tape to gold circle with double stick tape.
7.Ink camel with Brilliance black ink. Ink star with gold ink and stamp it onto camel stamp with black ink. Stamp camel with star onto turquoise cardstock. This technique is called stamp kissing. An image within an image.
8.Ink sleeping lamb with Brilliance black ink and stamp next to camel. Color the lamb with Prisma white pencil.
9.Punch out camel with lamb with Paper (2 ¾”) circle shaper punch. Tape it to black and gold circles on black square card with double stick tape.

10.Stamp star onto a piece of turquoise cardstock with gold ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat with heat tool.
11.Punch out gold embossed star with small Paper circle shaper. Tape to a punched out black circle that is 1/8” bigger with double stick tape.

12.Mount embossed star on camel circle with Ranger pop dot.

13.Cut two strips of decorative (two sided) paper out of scraps, tape to top right side of card and bottom left.

14.Add mini gold self sticking crystals to the two strips of decorative papers and one light blue crystal above “J” of Joy.

Holiday Candle



HOLIDAY CANDLE
With the holidays right around the corner here is a fast and easy gift anyone can make.

Supplies:

Peace on earth, lambs, angels, star, shepard – Peace On Earth EZMount stamp set (SI)   Sunday International Rubber Stamps and more

Distress Embossing ink pad (SI)

Copper embossing powder

Heat tool

Candle

White Tissue paper

Ribbon (optional)

Instructions:

1.Cut tissue paper to fit your candle. For this candle tissue paper is cut to 8 ½” x 2 ½”.

2.Stamp all images on tissue paper with Distress embossing ink pad.

3.Sprinkle copper embossing powder on all images.

4.Hold the heat tool an inch or two away from stamped tissue paper while heating embossing powder to avoid burning the light weight tissue paper.

5.Heat the candle with heat tool till it looks wet then start placing the stamped tissue paper on the candle. Repeat this process all the way around the candle.

6.The stamped tissue paper will stick to the heated candle. The candle is burnable with the stamped tissue paper.

7.Tie a ribbon around the candle and give as a gift.
