Unity ATC swap

I just joined a Unity ATC swap where we make two designs and send out to the players.  Here are my June ATC's that I sent out earlier this month for the swap.

camera ATC:

background is blended distress oxide inks.  a stencil over the blended ins.  stamped the saying and camera with VersaFine Clair nocturne (black) ink pad then embossed with clear.  worked great!

butterfly ATC:

background is blended with distress oxide inks.  stamped with more oxide inks.  did water drops.  stamped saying on the bottom of ATC.  stamped the butterfly on separate cardstock then die cut and mounted to ATC.

Just had fun with this journal page layout by doodling circles around where I used the round blending tool and dabbed or pushed down to make circles of paint.  as always with me, I used what was out and at hand on or around my craft table so that's why the dylusions paints and distress wilted violet oxide ink pad.  I did a water-wash with the oxide ink inside the figure 8's I drew.  oh, yes that bird is also my creation that I carved a while back.  stamped dylusions quirky sayings just for the fun of it.

washi tapes

still in my green and purple mode with these two large tags.  the silhouette tag has a couple of masks/stencils on it with some washi tapes and ink blending with regular distress and oxide on it.

the bird tag has the ink sprays dripping down it for dimension and fun.  I carved the bird a while ago so it is a bit primitive but I like it and that is a good thing otherwise I would use it...right?  I did stamp the little daisies (co. unknown) with distress wilted violet oxide inks...I'm liking those inks! also got out a couple of spotted/splatter stamps that I've had forever ... think the cluster one is by Printworks which is out of business, unfortunately.  Oh, yeah I colored in my carved bird with dylusions white paint and beak is prisma orange color pencil.  tie on some twine and or ribbon to finish off tag.

Gray not green

I know it's St. Patrick's Day and I should be showing off some green but it just didn't work out that way for me here.  Check out this card I used embossing powder......not one but three colors!  decided to start using supplies that I have and I have a lot of embossing powders from way back ...... clear to just abut any color of the rainbow and more!  on this card I used the basics ... gold, clear and silver.  found some gold washi tape so cut out a banner and added that but finding it hard to stick to ep ... will have to put some liquid glue under it to make it stick.  stamped Gooseneck girl on some gray cardstock ... added a little color with Prisma color pencils then fussy cut her and mounted to the card.  Oh yeah, the background color under the stamped card is distress oxide background I did.  you can see all about those backgrounds here in this post and there is a video from Sue Wisniewski - YouTube showing how I played with the distress oxides.  time for me to go get my hair cut and do a couple of errands.  have a lucky day! 

Inky bands of color

One of my favorite inks are Ranger distress, (not affiliated just a fan) because they blend together so nicely.  Although there are other inks out there that are just as good, I just don't own them and lately I'm all about using what I have!  all stamps on these cards are from Just For Fun stamps Please stop by  Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog for stamp details.
Today I'm doing a technique named Inky Bands ... basically you mask off a section on your card and blend colors of ink, stamp images then remove the masks to reveal the Inky Bands of color!  watch my video here in this post or go to my you tube channel for this video plus others.

 Tags with those fun Stampers Anonymous crazy birds.  what I did was blend some Ranger distress inks onto piece of cardstock then stamped the birds and fussy cut them out.  the left tag I blended distress inks then dropped water on it for water spots.  the right tag is one I brayered Dyan Reaveley paints ... some stencils ... stamping.  just a couple of tags for fun.

Metal - chalkboard tag

Had fun creating this tag because I got out that roll of silver sticky back tape I've had for at least a couple of years.  You know it was one of those things that I just had to have because someone was doing wonderful techniques with it then it faded out.
This tag is a big one that I had laying out on my table so ... why not use it!  Stuck strips of the silver tape on top and bottom of tag then ran it thru Big Kick with embossing folder.  Next got out black soot distress paint dabber and went to town distressing it or as Tim Holtz calls it industrious metal technique.  After that ripped piece of black cardstock and stamped with white pigment ink for the chalkboard effect.  Fun to bring back old techniques.
