First I want to say thank you to everyone that commented. The answer was decorative papers. I included everyone who commented in my drawing just because I wanted to so without further delay the winner is ................Vickie Kertz! congratulations I emailed you to get your information. THANK YOU to all of you who commented. I do appreciate it.
Second drawing! I decided to have a second drawing for the commentors who guessed the correct answer, decorative papers to my question. So the winner is ............Holley! I will email you for your information. congraulations!
Hope everyone enjoyed my guessing game.
Next week over at Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. blog is hopping time where the new stamp releases will be featured. Just thought I would give you a little preview of what is to come with this Hydrangea gate fold card. I used a new gold ink for me called Delicata golden glitz and it is glitz....also did a lot of fussy cutting out of the little flowers and added some decorative papers to my card.
Each month I pick a theme for my cards/projects and this month my theme is ........ nope, don't think I will tell you just yet. How about a little guessing game contest with a give-away. leave me a comment on this post telling me what you think my theme of the month is by the card I created here. You have till August 10th to guess. hint #1: it's not a gate fold....sooooo what do you think it is? hint #2: the answer is in this post. hint #3: look at the words in this post more closely. hint #4: look at the two words that stand out in this post.
remember to leave me a way to contact you in your comment. ***yeah! you got the correct answer! I'll reveal the answer on Monday. I'm still going to leave this post up for anyone else to comment and be included in the drawing. I will draw a winner from all the posts Sunday night and post it here on this post Monday so check back to see if you won.***

Sand dollar
This is a fun card because I got to use up some scraps I had out on my table. That's always a fun thing to do. Check out the background paper it's strips of left over cardstocks that I taped together then ran through Sizzix Big Kick with Tim Holtz Alterations rays texture fade. great way to use up strips of cardstock. saw this basic idea online somewhere but don't remember where.
***How about a contest! Name this technique. what would be a fun name for this technique of using scraps together and embossing folder. leave comments here on this post with suggestions***
Images and ribbon are from

I won!
Went to Welcome to Heirloom Productions, Bringing you the Best in Rubber Stamp Festival in Springfield, MA yesterday with some friends. I entered my super hero atc in the contest and I won! only problem was they take picture of winner ..... I didn't realize that because if I did I don't think I would have entered. I don't like my picture taken
only cause I take lousy pictures. Ask my friends I'm the one who leaves the room or puts something up in front of my face. I went over to Heirloom facebook page and low and behold there I am so guess I'll post it here for you to see. Did have fun at the convention and especially liked that we went on Sunday ...... it was more layed back and relaxing. Was able to get into all the booths to see demos and shop.

Mixed Media Monday - left overs
Getting in on this challenge just under the wire.
Mixed Media Monday challenge is left overs so I look at my table with all my scraps and decided to finally try the herribone background technique I've been seeing around. Watch out this technique can become additive.
