stamps used:  MFP, Rubber Moon and Hot Potatoe

Here is my Corn Moon swap card.  This is an ongoing swap with local friends so we can stay in touch during these trying times.

Measurements:

base - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

black layer - 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"

white stamped layer - 3 1/2" x 2 1/4"

back layers - 4 3/8" x 2 3/4" and 4 1/4" x 2 5/8"

all the above measurements are approximately for my card.

Basic instructions:

front:

1.  base card is embossed with TH Alterations texture fade - Distressed Frame.

2.  adhere black layer and stamped corn layer to front of embossed card.

3.  the corn image is stamped onto white layer.  husks of corn are colored with marker.  corn section is paper pieced.  

back:

1.  adhere black layer.

2.  adhere white layer that has been printed with description of Corn full moon.

3.  stamp images with yellow and green ink.

4.  sayings stamped with black ink.

Simple but effective.  don't you think?

Unity ATC swap

I just joined a Unity ATC swap where we make two designs and send out to the players.  Here are my June ATC's that I sent out earlier this month for the swap.

camera ATC:

background is blended distress oxide inks.  a stencil over the blended ins.  stamped the saying and camera with VersaFine Clair nocturne (black) ink pad then embossed with clear.  worked great!

butterfly ATC:

background is blended with distress oxide inks.  stamped with more oxide inks.  did water drops.  stamped saying on the bottom of ATC.  stamped the butterfly on separate cardstock then die cut and mounted to ATC.

fun little pieces of art.

winter 9 squares

There are nine 3 1/2" squares on a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock.  This is my set of 9 squares but only one is mine...confused?  I belong to a local card swap group and this month instead of cards we decided to do these fun squares with a winter theme.  I put everyone's names on the squares ..... mine is the penguins in the middle.  I haven't put mine in a frame, yet.  

I also took a photo of Jeanne's (one of our members) squares but see how nice it looks in a frame.

You can see we put our squares in different places but all is good.  Jeanne also put her square in the middle.

This was a fun change from our normal card swap.

The new thing with my local card swapping group is making these 9 card samplers.  This one is Fall/Autumn themed but we also did a Summer one.

love notes postcards

For the past three weeks I've been doing a postcard swap with a group on facebook called LoveNotes.  the swap is for a period of three weeks (including this week) where the hostess sends out an email with a prompt for the participants to follow.  this is a not a stamping group but you all know me ..... I'm a die heart stamper so my three postcards have been stamped but the others they buy a postcard or computer generate one then write on them using the prompt as a guide.  the first prompt was SMILE...second HAPPINESS...and the third is TODAY.  I will be showing you my postcards and my S-I-L who is also participating in this group. I did some coloring with my prisma pencils, blending color with distress inks and even tried my hand at water coloring on my postcards. my S-I-L may not be a stamper but she is doing a great job/art with these postcards although her postcards are oversized so I need to fold them to fit into my spiral notebook where I am keeping my postcards.  haven't received TODAY postcard, yet from my S-I-L but I'm sure it will be wonderful.
