Masking fun

 Masking fun

It's Altenew Tuesday #altenewchallengelive with Jen Rzasa, and the theme is masking masterpiece.

supplies used:  Altenew Meadow Reflection stamp set, masking tape, and inks

I had fun making these backgrounds using masking tape.  I took Jen Rzasa at her word ... Masking!

I pressed a strip of masking tape onto an ink pad, then pressed it onto a white panel.  Viola! masking tape backgrounds.
supplies used:  Altenew Paint a flower white swan echinacea stamp set
I got a little carried away, and made three set of cards with different color masking tape strips.
See more on this technique in this post ... you can type masking tape in search bar to see more ideas using masking tape.
Thanks for stopping by.  Come back soon.

GIU day 4 - Masking tape stripes

 Masking tape stripes

It's Thursday and my week of guest blogging for Growing In Unity gal week is almost over. I am enjoying showing off all my Unity stamps, and hopefully inspiring you to try one of the background techniques I have shown you.

Today's technique is using ordinary masking tape and your ink pads!  You will be getting inky with this background technique.

all images by Unity stamp co.

basic instructions:

1.  rip off a piece of masking tape and press it into an ink pad.  I used dye ink pads ... any brand should work.

2.  press the inked tape onto cardstock, then gently pull the tape off cardstock.

3.  repeat step #2 till you have as many stripes as you like on your card.

4.  stamp image directly over stripes with any black ink of choice.

Tip:  #1. I used white cardstock but it is fun to do this technique on other colors of cardstock ... I would suggest light color cardstocks.

Tip:  #2.  add extra color with color pencils to image if desired.

You can see more masking tape stripes technique here from the past that I have done.

Thank you for stopping by and come back tomorrow for another technique.  Also don't forget to comment (with an email to be contacted) to be included in the drawing for a $20 gift certificate from Unity stamp co.

Just a couple Anniversary cards showing techniques

stamps used:  Unity stamp co. and MFP stamp co.

Hard to see the actual double z-fold card that I did using snowman couple because at the time my camera wasn't working.   So I had to scan and it squashed the card.

here is a look at a undecorated/stamped sample of a double z-fold card.  this should give you a better idea of what it looks like.  You can see another z-fold card here that I did with a tutorial.

The second card I did the masking tape background.  You can see the background better on this big tag with the blue stripes.

You can see a tutorial for masking technique in this blog post here.
That's all for today.  Hope you enjoyed today's blog post.  Thank you for stopping by.  come back again soon.
