Gift for creative card crew

 Gift for creative card crew

supplies used:  SU DSP, Hot Potatoes snowflake

I like to make little gift for my local card crew for when we get together for our December meeting.

supplies used:  Hot Potatoes holly, SU DSP
supplies used:  Hot Potatoes snowflake, SU DSP

Found these little canvas bags in my stash. First I stamped the wood mounted stamp on the bag, then added stickles for shine. I know I've had them for years, so it is about time I used them.

I am still making folios so, of course, I had to add one or two to each of the packages.  The pen is in a folded pocket I made to hold them.  A candy cane just because it's that time of year.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back soon.

Photo Folios

 Photo Folios

These photo folios with pockets make great gifts.

Measurements:

folio base: three 8 1/2" x 11" pieces of cardstock

score two of these cardstocks at 3", 9" and 9 1/4" on the 11" side.

On third piece of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock score at 5 1/2" on the 11" side.

cover/pages pattern papers:

3 pieces cut at 8 1/4" x 5 3/4"

3 pieces cut to 8 1/4" x 5 1/4" (for pockets)

small pocket flap:

pattern paper 2 1/4" x 8 1/4"

Large pocket flaps pattern papers:

3 pieces at 2 3/4" x 8 1/4"

Front/back cover flap pattern paper:

2 pieces at 1 1/2" x 8 1/4"

photo mats: 4" x 6"

Above measurements are only suggestions.  You can change sizes around to fit your folio.  For my closures I used a tag, which is glued to cover with one side unglued, so you can slip the front flap under the tag.  On another folio I glued little magnets on the cover and front flap.

If I remember correctly I saw this Photo Folio on MayMay crafts.  You can google MayMay crafts or go on You tube for her sites.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back soon.

I'm happy to be joining my fellow designers at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps! a Heinrich Company for our July in Christmas. Here are my two boxes of cards which is the day I'm doing for the hop. The first one holds A2 note cards and envelopes using A Trip to Lancaster. This was an ideal stamp set for me to use because I just visited Lancaster county in PA. last September.  It is fun to see the horse and buggies driving along with modern day cars.  My second box of cards holds gift cards which we can all use during the holidays. For this small box of 3" gift cards I used the stamp set called Christmas Cardinals . Scroll down and visit everyone else's blog to see the gift boxes and cards they created.
Below are the designers participating in the hop. Some may have a project and some may not depending on the day.

I looked in my stash of all the different things I have like these small canvas frames and thought wouldn't this be great stamped and given to a friend to put in her kitchen.  Besides being stamped there are a couple of shrink plastic pieces glued to the frame with Diamond Glaze.  Before getting into shrink plastic details ..... have you guessed yes, shrink plastic was the answer to what is this on my sneak peek post here .  Now back to details for shrink plastic:   I used chalks to color the shrink plastic before stamping and shrinking.  I even finally used my Ranger Distress markers to color in the chili peppers and they worked great on the canvas frame.  For my card I did a z-fold card which is easy to do just cut cardstock at 4 1/4" x 11, fold in half then fold the folded section in half again...viola! a z-fold card. Again used the same color Distress markers on the card to color and they worked wonderfully on the cardstock, too.  Amazing what you discover when you try things out.  If you look close you will see more shrink plastic on this card .... if you know me I can't just make one.  lol!  Now to use up all these chili pepper shrink pieces.
Thank you for visiting my blog and seeing all my creations for Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps! a Heinrich Company blog hop this month.  I had a lot of fun with these new stamp sets.  Don't forget to leave comments on all or one of our blogs for your chance to win one of these new stamp sets.

Just a fun, fun, fun set of stamps!  Had so many ideas running through my head for this set of stamps so here is one of my projects.  I call it, "Noteables" and I have been making these for years and giving them out as gifts to friends and relatives.  Even my husband said this one came out good and for him that is great praise.  Did some masking with mushrooms and gnome (isn't he such an adorable figure), colored gnome with Prisma color pencils or any brand you prefer.  Look here and you can see more of the butterflies like here on my notable.  Added gold ribbon in a bow and just wrapped around plus some more of the glitter buttons I made last week.....isn't it great to use up things you have on your table......last used a grass border punch.  Phew! guess that's it for my noteable. Check out this noteable I made a few years back.  Here is another card I created doing a technique where first you stamp on acetate with Staz-On Jet black  ink pad, turn it over add a few drops of dye ink re-inkers, diamond glaze then spread it around very gently with your finger making sure not to muddy up the colors.  Sprinkle on some glitter, crinkle up a piece of tissue paper then add that to it and allow it to dry.  When dry add it to your card.  That's it from me for now.  Hope you enjoyed my projects.  Come back tomorrow for last day at Mark's Finest Papers blog hop and don't forget to keep commenting because you never know if you will the winner of a new stamp set.

Duck - Duck - Goose!

Remember that game from childhood?  Really has nothing to do with this post just thought it would be fun for a title.  My niece moved up in her swiming team so thought I would send her fun mail. In VA. they take swimming serious, she is in a group called NOVA and she has been in this organization for years.
Didn't have a fish in my stash of stuffed animal but did find this duck actuall I think it is a platapus (sp?).  Add a tag and off to the post office to mail.
