Day 3 - GIU girl - Faux Grid w/video

all stamps used by Unity stamp co.
supplies:  eraser, ruler, Pebbles art chalks, cotton balls
It's day 3 for my guest spot here at GIU girl week.  I hope you are having as much fun as I am this week.
I call this Faux grid technique because you are creating grids but there are no actual lined grids.  Simply done but applying color with chalks and erasing chalk lines with eraser.  Simple, right? right!  As you can see I went a little crazy with this technique...had a lot of fun creating a bunch of Halloween cards.  If you know me that is my favorite type of cards to make.  Have fun with this technique and if you try it please come back and let me know so I can see what you did.
You can watch my video here in this post or at Sue Wisniewski - YouTube

***Please don't forget to comment each day so you will be included into the drawing for the Unity stamp grab bag prize at the end of the week.  Not one but two winners will be picked!  Please leave a current email in comment so I can contact you if you are a winner.***
Thank you for stopping by.  Come back soon.

Very cool; hadn't seen the eraser grid before--always used masking tape. Thanks!

Very cool technique that I haven't seen before. I also like the different colors that are not traditional Halloween colors.

Love it Sue, very interesting technique.definitely will try this one. Just one question, are you using glossy card stock or watercolor card stock or regular 65 lb. weight card stock?

Love that idea and the chalks. One question - How do you make the chalks permanent and not rubbing off. Love usinng chalk but it has a tendency to rub off. I am definitely trying your technique. I have never seen it before. Three days and you have me trying 3 new things. Thanks.

tndj, I use the brand name Pebbles Chalks and don't have a problem with them rubbing off. what I do, do, is burnish the chalk very well with the cotton ball into the cardstock. But if you are worried about it you could use a fixative spray. there are lots of them on the market. thank you for asking. hope this helps.
