This month I'm featuring the chalkboard technique on my cards.
It's a fun and easy technique. So let's get started....get out your chalk............nope..........get out your white inks. I prefer to use my VersaMagic white chalk ink for the powdered chalk effect on my cards but for the actual stamping I like Colorbox white pigment ink and white embossing powder. BUT there is always an exception so look to your right ..... on this tag I used holographic embossing powder just for the fun of it. Please continue on to see what Janine has to show you in her pockets filled with watches.

Love the effect but every time I have tried it looks terrible. I don't think I have the best white inks to use.
Hi enter too quickly!
Love your cards and the embossed tag is really pretty.
That tag is breathtaking! Talk about gorgeous! I have that type of embossing powder and love it! The chalkboard technique worked very well with the large background, too! Great samples!
Great job with the chalkboard technique -- and that tag is outstanding!
Gorgeous work!!!
Thank you for visiting my blog today Sue...I loved your comment "Bee-utiful"...and I am pretty sure I am going to have to incorporate it into a collage sheet to go with my other one :0).
Cool effects with the chalk ink!

Like the embossed images.

I love your theme this month! Very nicely done on both!
wow, wow, wow!!!! Awesome cards! I have just written down the colorbox ink. I always use versafine and white EP but my white EP always looks a little cream colored. Never thought of using white underneath! That might help make it look more white!
Love your holographic embossing powder card! What a great look!
What gorgeous projects! I think your card is fabulous and I love the holographic look on your ribbon.

Awesome technique you used! I especially love the first card!
I think I will have to look up this chalkboard effect. It is really striking on the ribbon card you did.
What a wonderful effect with the chalkboard technique and your tag is awesome too - beautiful.
A fabulous technique.
I did give one link to instructions for chalkboard technique in my post. if you do it please come back and let me know so I can visit your blog.

These look wonderful! A chalkboard theme, I can't wait to see what else you have done!
I love both cards but the one w/the holograhic embossing is favorite. The stamped image is really neat and would work for several different occassions. W/the holograhic embossing it makes me think of New Years. The chalkboard technique works well w/this image. All your cards look great. Thanks for sharing the idea and technque.

Looks great with the chalkboard technique.
Beautiful work!
Lovely! The techniques you've used perfectly compliment the set! :)
Hi Marlene, good to see you here. Yes, have had a few say it would be good for New Years...never thought of that myself.
