I finally got my Tim Holtz july tag done. Of course mine looks nothing like Tim's tag but it was still fun to start out doing what he said but ended up with my twist on it. First off I didn't have the grunge flag, rock candy crackle paint or his embellishments but did have grunge skeleton head in my stash so used that! started by painting skeleton with pearl dabber paint, let that dry then added some distress stains and got impatient so used heat tool and it kinda bubbled! liked it. added a pretty thick layer of some rock candy distress stickles randomly on the skeleton head and let that dry for about 20 minutes.............impatient me..........heat tool again and again it bubbled! yeah! dabbed on more distress stain and this time let dry while I worked on my tag. did the same idea as Tim with the rolling of the brayer with distress stains on tag, next stamped saying all over tag. added some tissue tapes....blended on some distress inks with blending tool. still needed something so I got out my piece of sequins waste and stenciled some dots with distress concord ink. mounted the skeleton head and saying on the tag. last but not least I colorized my ribbon with distress stains and ink pads then tied on my tag. phew! done.
