Stamped File folder

Over at stampsmith : Focus: The Stampsmith rubber stamp line: yahoo group I belong to we are doing a three month challenge.  The challenge for October was to decorate a file folder with The Stampsmith images using brayer, sponges and sewing.  Using the images, brayer & sponges was the easy part for me but sewing.....not!  Don't even own a sewing machine so had to find a video online to teach me to sew.....LOL!  Found an easy stitch called the blanket stitch so that is what I did on the sides of the file folder to make it a pocket file folder.

First I punched out a circle with my EK Success 2 3/4" circle punch and used as a mask.  I brayer the file folder with 'The Ranger Ink Big and Juicy Tutti Frutti ink pad.....yes Tutti Frutti because it was there.  I distressed it with a few of Distress inks - rusty hinge, chipped sapphire and peeled paint.  Removed the circle mask and put the reverse mask over the moon and added some Distress mustard seed and rusty hinge to it.  After that I stamped the small ruby slippers with Brilliance rocket red ink and added some 'The Ranger Ink Glitz stickles ruby slippers (yes that is what it is called) to give it that sparkle.  Stamped some little Zimprints bats and removed the reverse mask.  Stamped the two witches from The Stampsmith Wizard of Oz stamp sheet added some black stickles to the flying bad wicked Witch of the West and crystal stickles to Glinda the Good Witch of the North.  Stamped the Wizard of Oz gang with VersaFine sepia on cream cardstock layered it on reddish orange and cocoa cardstock then taped it to file folder.  Are you a good witch or a bad witch was popped up with foam dots next to Glinda and the Best Witches was stamped with black ink on top with the bats.  Oh yes, the broom was popped up with foam dots, too.  Extra color was added to Tin man, Dorothy and Glinda with Prisma color pencils.  enjoy!
