Thursday Tutorials - Butterfly Flip Flap Card

Butterfly Flip Flap Card
Supplies:
Stamps: Love & Kisses EZMount Mini Card Stamp Set MSET08 (SI)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black, Kaleidacolor Caribbean Sea rainbow dye ink pad
Paper: dark olive green, light blue, white cardstock, decorative double sided paper
Accessories: Ranger Red Stickles glitter glue, double stick tape, foam mounting tape, May Arts #SX01 white ribbon

Directions:
1.Score 4 ¼” x 8 ½” dark olive green base card at 5 ½”.
2.Score 3” x 8” light blue cardstock at 4”.
3.Adhere 4” x 5 ¼” piece of decorative paper on the inside of base card.
4.Adhere 2 ¾” x 4” piece of decorative paper to card front.
5.Adhere 2 ¾” x 3 ¾” pieces of decorative papers to the inside and outside of smaller folded light blue card.
6.Using double stick tape adhere back of light blue folded card to inside of base card. Make sure the fold of smaller card is pointing to the right of the base card.
7.Stamp saying on the inside of this card with Archival Jet Black ink.
8.Stamp outline of butterfly image twice on the outside of the same light blue folded card with Jet Black ink.
9.Stamp same outline butterfly image twice on a scrap of decorative paper and cut it out.
10.Mount the cut out butterflies over the same image stamped on outside light blue folded card.
11.Stamp outline butterfly image on a piece of white cardstock with Jet Black ink.
12.Stamp the second image of the wings with Kaleidacolor Caribbean Sea ink inside the butterfly outline. Tip: this is a two step stamp and because it is die cut to be used on an acrylic mount you can see where you are stamping.
13.Adhere stamped two step butterfly on a piece of light blue cardstock and adhere to the front of the base card.
14.Add Ranger Red Stickles glitter glue to the hearts of the butterflies on the light blue folded card. Allow to dry.
15.Tie May Arts white ribbon around the front flap of card in a knot.
