AWAY IN THE MANGER

Marvy Brush Markers - #64 plum, #6 brown, #23 gold ochre, #1 black, #33 oriental blue, #82 mustard(SI)
Adirondack Butterscotch & Mushroom ink pads
Ranger Blending Tool (SI)
Ranger Distress Ink – broken china, weathered wood & faded jeans (SI)
Ranger pop dots
Corner rounder punch
Sticker paper
Gold self sticking crystal
May Arts white silk ribbon
Sizzix Top Note die

Instructions:

1.Cut out top note die in personal Sizzix die cutting machine.

2.With blending tool starting off of the top note color all around the edge of the top note with Distress ink weathered wood. Repeat process adding color with faded jeans and ending with broken china.

3.Ink up star with Adirondack Butterscotch ink and stamp on the top of the colored top note and add a self sticking gold crystal. Set aside till ready to assemble card.

4.Ink up manger roof with Marvy brush marker gold ochre and edge the roof with black marker then blend the roof with the gold ochre marker. For the rest of the manger, first color the wood structure with brown Marvy marker then plum marker.

5.Huff on the inked stamp and print it onto sticker paper and cut it out. After it is cut out stick it under the stamped star on the top note.

6.Next ink the baby with oriental blue Marvy brush mark and the hay bed with mustard & brown markers. Huff on inked stamp and print onto sticker paper and cut it out. Place the baby inside the manger on the top note card. Set aside till ready to assemble card.

7.On a piece of (4 x 5 ¼) white cardstock round the corners with corner rounder punch.

8.On the same white card blend all the blue Distress inks with blending tool all around the edges.

9.Tape rounded card to a dark blue note card with double stick tape.

10.Mount the stamped top note card with pop dots on the rounded card on dark blue note card.

11. Rip two pieces of gold cardstock to create the ground. Blend Adirondack butterscotch & mushroom along the ripped edges.

12.Mount one of the ripped pieces of ground to the bottom of note card with pop dots. Tape the second ripped piece of ground with a little bit of double stick tape.

13.Cut a small piece of May Arts white silk ribbon and color it using blending tool with Distress broken china ink. Tie the colored ribbon into a bow and tape it to the top left corner of card with double stick tape to finish the card.
