holiday faux ornaments

Check this out I made a holiday card without using any holiday/Christmas images.  first I stamped a background image with metallic inks (delicata gold and silver), stamped evergreen bough with green ink.  on separate piece of cardstock I add at least three layers of UTEE (ultra thick embossing powder) then pressed an inked swirl image into the thick hot embossing powder.  let it sit for about 10 seconds then pulled the stamped straight up out of the hot ep.  check it out it leaves a deep impression!  Oh yeah, forgot to tell you I die cut the circles first before all the UTEE.  after the circles are cooled I punched out a small rectangle from silver cardstock and adhered it to the back of the circles.  tape the "faux" ornaments to your stamped card with evergreen bough...hand draw a string with a bow then adhere to note card.

  1. These are great! I have not tried the UTEE before, but it sure does give you a great look for ornaments.
