April Fools

Today is April Fools day!  I actually got my tag done for  Blog | Tim Holtz this morning....I did it as I read it.  I think that is the way for me to keep up with tags...just do it when I read it!  Anyway of course I didn't have all his supplies so I improvised.  the thing is I do own the stamp he used but I couldn't find it so I made do with another oldie but goodie stamp in my collection.  I used distress stains because don't have the new distress paints but I still worked to a point but mine looks more like rusted metal then patina.  I've had that measuring tape ribbon for years (yes, I've been hoarding it!) so decided to cut a piece off and use it!  are you wondering why grunge board number .... 89????  well, that is because my father turns 89 this Sunday!!!!!!  yeah!  won't be able to visit him till probably next month (lives in buffalo, ny!!!) and too far to just take a ride to say Happy Birthday but will soon.
entering in the following challenges:
1.  Tim Holtz blog- April 2013 tag
2.  Simon Says Stamp and Show - anything goes
3.  CCEE Stampers - oldies but goodies stamp (haven't used in 6-12 months)
tag details:

A very beautiful tag. You are so lucky to still have your dad at 89. That is great. Thanks, so much for joining us in the CCEE Challenge this week.
