O.K. the day of the hop you have all been waiting for...lol!  maybe the day I've been waiting for to show you a first for me!!! A GEL card!!!  can you believe with all the years I've been stamping I've never made a gel card so without further ado here is my very first gel card!  I am so proud.  I did the gel part as a layer so this is a heavy card but I do like it. Used some pirate pattern paper for background and embossed copper cardstock with swirl texture fade folder.  I got a big bottle of gel at the dollar store so have a lot of the stuff to do more gel cards. Another fun card is a tilt card which is a variation on the spinner card.  You can find instructions here on Splitcoaststampers.

Here's another card I made with our 5th new stamp set called Celebrate Big stamp set.  Having fun with the chef and all the images that go with him.  Can you tell what everyday thing you can find in your kitchen I used to make this card?  A white paper lunch bag!  Just folded it to make a pocket for the card insert.

Hope you enjoyed our blog hop here at Mark's Finest Papers blog this month.  I know I had fun doing it and showing you all my projects.  Always remember to comment to be included in our random drawing to win one of the new sets showcased this week.

I haven't made a gel card in years! You did a great job -- and this set was just perfect for it. The card you made with the white bag really turned out well!

Wow, Sue, beautiful cards! I have not tried a gel card either - but this looks wonderful. Your extra cards are adorable as well.

Can't believe you hadn't done a gel card--aren't they fun? Great job, and the chef is terrific, too.

The Captain Jack Sparrow fan I am likes the Pirate paper. The embossed waves is a wonderful addition. My Daughter headed back to college to begin her Junior yr this morn & I'm already missing her. Need to go do some more crafting/stamping.

adorable work Sue. Lovely sets from Marcos. I must say I have been stamping a long time myself and also haven't made many gel cards. Your blog inspires me. Cheers, Holley

Well I've never heard of a gel card and will have to do some more research on it. I do love your cards. And the cute pocket is perfect. TFS AJ-

Love your cards. Great job showcasing this set. I love your gel card. I made my first one about a year ago with a retired MFP set. I used shampoo that had a slight blue tint to it. I got it at the dollar store. I figured if I didn't make any more gel cards, I could at least have clean hair with the rest of the supplies. LOL!!
