Thursday Tutorial - Glitter Lace technique with a twist

Glitter Lace with ribbon
Glitter lace is a fun technique where you tape down a piece of lace then sprinkle with glitter.  Carefully remove the lace and add more glitter.   Makes great backgrounds for cards and more.

Glitter Lace technique for ribbon:

What I do is run cardstock through my Xyron machine with adhesive to create sticker paper.  Remove the backing and lay #WQ04 May Arts ribbon on the sticker paper.  Sprinkle on the darkest color of ultra fine glitter first, on these projects I used green and blue glitters.
Tap off excess glitter, remove ribbon and add ultra fine prisma glitter and tap off excess.

Here's another sample where instead of making the whole tag the background I cut up strips of glitter lace ribbon and taped it to tag.
Viola!  A fun glitter background made with ribbon and glitter.  Visit May Arts blog to see more ideas using ribbons.
