It's June! can you belive it .... the year is half over. Over on Outlines Rubber Stamp blog they just started to do challenges..this card is for challenge #2, theme is to do a black and white card with a splash of color. Oh yes, you must use Outlines Rubber stamps which is easy for my because I have a few draws full of thier stamps. I chose to do a spring card and what shows off spring but butterflies. I did a fun coloring technique I just learned from Jennifer McGuire last month where you use the edge of 'The Ranger Ink ink blending tool with Distress Broken China ink. Start from the center of the butterfly image and pull the blending tool full of ink to spread the color but do not go to the end of image. This is a fun and quick way to add color to an image. Can you believe how great the broken china ink matched cardstock I had in my stash. Also pulled out a roll of craft black wire to make antenas on butterflies.

Beautiful card, Sue. Love how you colored the butterflies! Good luck and thanks for joining in on the fun at Outlines Rubber stamps.
Sue, Wow that Broken China ink was an exact match to your card stock.... love it when it works so easy like that!! Love your card with the butterflies attached in the corners.... that really gives it a little "extra" special touch and catches the eye!
Thanks for playing along with Outlines!!!!
Wonderful project! I can't believe we are already in June, where has this year gone? That ink does match the cardstock wonderfully. Great work.

Such a pretty card. I love that you shared how you got the beautiful color on the butterfly. I am going to go give it a try.
