2010 Technique Tags - tag 3 & 4

This is tag 3 and this is one of my favorites.  There is lots going on in this tag to start I die cut the bird from   Sizzix  Tim Holtz Alterations caged bird which has become one of my favorite dies.  Adhered tissue tape to some grungepaper only because that is what I have don't have plain grungeboard.  Next you color it with Ranger Ink alcohol ink then die cut the bird.  Blend Distress inks on tag, stamp tree branch.....then ink dots stamp with Paint dabber snowcap paint and stamp all around the tag.  Make a tissue tape flower for decoration and add to tag.  Punched out EK Success label, colored with Distress ink and just stamped postcard image on it....added it to tag with curly cue (my description) clip.  Colored some ribbon by misting with water then with blending tool.  I found out a fun thing with this ribbon I used when I heated it to dry it, it started to melt and curl up........I liked it!  Like I say, "there are no mistakes in stamping just happy accidents!"

Tag 4 - the manila tag is covered with pattern paper then I just blended a little color with Ranger Ink Distress inks & blending tool.  Did the technique on the circle fragment where you add color then stamp with Archival jet black ink then wipe off the black ink with soft cloth while it's still wet to leave a "shadow" of the image.  Not my favorite technique but interesting.  For more details on this technique go to Tim Holtz blog.
