Just couldn't resist that funny title. I finally made an easel card! I've been putting it off thinking it would take forever to figure out but an easel card is easy! Think I will be making more of these fun cards. enjoy!
Stamping Friends
supplies:
Frog & saying – Anthony & Burt Best Sellers EZMount Stamp N' Store (SI)
Ranger Archival Jet Black ink (craft store)
Ranger Distress inks – peeled paint, shabby shutters (SI)
Ranger blending tool
bone folder (SI)
Prisma Color Pencils (craft store)
button (craft store)
Decorative paper
Instructions:
1.Cut light green cardstock at 4 x 8.
2.Cut piece of dark green cardstock at 4 x 4.
3.Score & fold 4 x 8 green card at 2” and 4”. Set aside till ready to assemble.
4.Cut piece of white cardstock at 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”.
5.Stamp frog with fly on this piece with Jet Black ink.
6.Color in frog image with Prisma color pencils starting with darker green pencil then lighter green pencil. This will give shading on the frog. Color the rubber stamp with burnt umber brown and yellow gold pencils. Color the paper with a medium brown along the edges and tan in the middle. Pencil images are colored with light brown along the top and light orange for the body of the pencil. Fly's wings are light purple with heavier pressure along the edge of wings for darker color. With a gray pencil add a little shading under the paper.
7.With Ranger blending tool add color along the edge of stamped card with shabby shutters & peeled paint ink pads.
8.Layer stamped piece on 4 x 4 dark green card. Set aside till ready to assemble card.
Assemble easel card:
1.Take 4 x 8 base card and fold both score lines towards you which will create the easel part of card. It will fold into a long triangle shape.
2.Cut a piece of decorative paper at 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” and layer onto the inside bottom of base card.
3.Stamp saying – Stamping Friends on the bottom of decorative paper.
4.Glue a button right above the saying. This will hold card open.
5.Layer colored stamped piece on small section of folded card.
6.Slide card open and place behind button to hold open to form easel card.
