Resist plus technique

Here is a fun card doing resist technique but when I was done I didn't like it so I kept going adding more ink.

April 2009

card by Sue Wisniewski member Sunday International design team
Stamp credits:
Vertical Inspiration Birds of Paradise #POSH-81
Inks:
Ranger Adirondack ink pads – Lettuce, Wild Plum, Bottle
Ranger Distress ink pad – Pine Needles (SI)
Tsukineko VersaMark ink pad (SI)
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
Supplies:
3M double stick tape
Speedball Brayer (SI)
the Paper cut white Matte Coate (4 ¼ x 5 ½) Postcards
Imaginisce white brad
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
Ranger Clear embossing powder
McGill corner punch
Silk flowers
Instructions:
1. Stamp double leaf with Adirondack Lettuce ink pad randomly on white matte coate postcards.
2. Stamp little flower with Adirondack Wild Plum ink in the same random fashion. Over stamping and off the card is eye pleasing for this technique.
3. Repeat stamping process with single leaf in Adirondack Bottle ink.
4. Let all images dry. To speed up drying process use heat tool.
5. Stamp Toucan with VersaMark ink in the middle of the card over all the images.
Sprinkle Ranger clear embossing power over Toucan. Tap off excess powder and heat emboss with heat tool.
6. Ink up brayer with Adirondack Lettuce ink and brayer color over entire card.
7. Buff with paper towel to reveal Toucan with images inside image.
8. With Ranger Distress Pine Needles ink pad do DTP technique over entire card. Tip: DTP (direct to paper) means place ink pad on card and rub over card.
9. Buff the card again and see the magic! The Toucan will show up with the dark Pine Needles color in the creases of the image.
10. Punch out all four corners with McGill corner punch on stamped card and pink layer.
11. Using 3M double stick tape layer the stamped card onto pink layer. Set aside till ready to assemble.
12. Place a piece of dark green cardstock in Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, and run it through Cuttlebug machine or compatible personal die cutting machine.
13. Layer Swiss Dots green cardstock onto bottom right side of bright green greeting card with double stick tape.
14. Layer stamped card on top of Swiss Dots layer with double stick tape.
15. Add white brad to the center of silk flower and mount onto bottom right of card with 3M Foam mounting tape.
