Ice skates
I know it is almost Spring, but I just had to use this skate die set from Altenew. I did purchase this set back during the winter months, just didn't get to using it.
Just some fun colorful ice skates. What color were your ice skates when you were young. I had basic white ones.More Seraphim wings!
This butterfly image is still a favorite of mine. It is so big that you can do so many different style stampings with it.
stamps/supplies used: Unity stamp co. Seraphim wings stamp set, Waffle Flower A2 postage dieI die cut Waffle flower co. postage die then stamped the big Seraphim wings (butterfly image) on it. I did some select color blending over the butterfly just to add colors. Next I stamped some postage style images, and numbers on the postage die. Layered the finished stamped postage die onto a butterscotch card layer, then onto a black A2 folded card. You will see more of these faux postage style cards in the future.

Faux Postage
I do like to make faux postage style cards. I have been making them off, and on for years. You can see here in 2012 post but if you type faux postage in search bar you will see more.
Today we have dies to make the faux postage style cards.
stamps/dies/stencils used: Waffle Flower snowman postage stencil setbasic instuctions:
1. die cut the faux postage die. It die cuts with all the perforated holes.
2. this stencil set has 2 layers, which makes for an easy card. place down first stencil, which is the background. add color with any blending tool handy. remove 1st stencil. place second stencil down and add details for snowflake, and snowmen.
3. Layer faux postage onto card, and you are done.
Here is the same snowman stencil, but this time I cut the faux postage card into single faux postages.
Here is a Christmas one. Waffle Flower co. has different faux postage stencils. Needless to say I will be making more of these cards soon. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.

More on Halloween
Can't help myself so here are more Halloween cards.
stencils/dies used: Waffle Flower big moon layering stencil set, TH word dies/stencilOn the Fright card I did the big moon layering stencil first. The #1 stencil lays down the background color, #2 does layer of moon, #3 adds the last layer for the moon. The wicked card I blended greens and blue inks. After blending colors I did the big moon stencil. Next added bats with Tim Holt stencil, last added the wicked word die.
stamps/dies used: Stampers Anonymous, TH word die & stencilsAgain I blended lots of color with green, blue, and yellow inks. The fright card has two of TH stencils. Trick or treat uses stamps, and bat stencil.
Did color blending with a couple of blue inks this time. Added bats, and rib cage with stencils. I even splashed on some water to make the water spots. Last mounted boo word.

Faux postage wild flowers
stamps used: Waffle Flower postage collage wild flowersIt's that special time of year where we celebrate handmade cards in all their beauty - World Card Making Day 2024! This year, our favorite card making holiday is on October 5th. That is today!
I am enjoying making faux postage with all the Waffle Flower company dies, and stencils. This one is called Postage collage Wild Flowers.
Here is a close up of one of my cards. The postage die cuts out the card with all the blocks with holes to create the faux postage. Next you use the layering stencils to add flowers. I have some other postage images like cancellation lines that I haven't added to these cards, yet. I will before I mail them out to family or friends. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.

Fun seagulls
stamps/dies used: Waffle Flower seagulls stamp/die setI saw these sample cards on the Waffle Flower site, but I don't have all the same products ... so my cards turned out a little different. But that is a good thing. For example I don't have their "wave" dies, so I just cut out copy paper to have "waves". Blended on a couple of blue inks for water. I have no idea how they made the seafoam, so I did it my way. First I added clear embossing ink with a cosmetic sponge, sprinkled on white embossing powder. Heat set it. The seafoam was too solid looking for me. For the other rows of seafoam I added clear embossing ink with a crumbled up piece of paper towel, sprinkled on white embossing powder ... and I liked that! For the saying I blocked off part of it with scotch tape, inked up the image, remove the scotch tape, and stamped it. Sometimes it is just fun to change things up a little. I added black self sticking gems for eys.
