Here is a look at all the spring daffodils and sayings in this new stamp set.  I made a bunch of domino stamped pins that will be given as little gifts to a few of my friends.  Stamping on dominoes is fun and easy.  First ink dominoes with Colorbox chalk inks and heat set.  Stamp images with Staz-On black ink, again heat set just to make sure ink is dry.  Squirt on Diamond glaze in sections then add mini hole-less beads.  Allow to dry completely then edge with Krylon gold leafing pen.  Spray with Krylon gloss or Mat sealing spray.  Allow this to dry for at least 20 minutes then coat with Diamond Glaze to completely seal your domino pin.  Glue on a piece of felt and pin to back of domino to finish your pins.

Beading with friends

This past Sunday a few of us got together to bead....not stamp....and we had a lot of fun.  We made these  bracelets that wrap around your wrist 3 to 5 times.  The original bracelets are called Chan Luu Wrap bracelets.  Don't have a picture of an original but here are the ones our little group made.  Our hostess and instructor to make this wrap bracelet was our good friend Leslie.  She wasn't in the room when I pulled out my camera but did take a picture of her bracelet.  Thank you, Leslie for having us over your house and showing us how to make these fun bracelets.

 

We even had a mother daughter beading together and having lots of fun.

Back to Beaded Bracelets!

Yes, I'm still making Freeform Peyote bracelets!  I will be giving these as gifts to friends that I visit once a year at our get together.  I sure hope they like them.
Here they are:

It's funny each time I make one of these bracelets they come out just a little bit different but I like them all.  The bluish-purple one on top is made with beads that are a little bigger than the rest.  Then you get the shiny beads and it gives the bracelet a totally different look.  The green one on the bottom is done with the smallest beads so far for me and that one just seems so delicate to me but they all have their attributes which I like.  enjoy!

Stamped tray & more

This is an inexpensive plastic tray.  I stamped some big bold images from
Hot Potatoes Rubber Stamps.    
I dabbed ink onto stamps with Paint dabbers from
 'The Ranger Ink.  I went wild with the colors as you can see with the wild plum beetle.  Now you would think I would use this as a T.V. tray to eat while watching television but no ....... I'm using for a beading table while watching television.  Multi-tasking.    Here are bracelets I've done on this table.

Another freeform peyote bracelet

Yes, I'm still enjoying making these bracelets. 

I will be giving this one to a friend. 

The color scheme for this bracelet came about because we have a new ice cream store called Rita's (might be a chain-don't know) which has the best custard!  It comes in vanilla, chocolate or strawberry and so far I've tried the vanilla & strawberry but when I made this bracelet I was in the vanilla mode.  They also have different flavored ices which are also very good.  Let's see so far I've had the passion fruit, vanilla & strawberry.  enjoy!

B&W Freeform peyote bracelet

I finished my black & white Freeform peyote bracelet.  I did go back to MANIFEST BEADS---We Moved to 51 River Street in Milford for help and Kira was very helpful.  Just to let you know I'm not affiliated with bead store just a very appreciative customer for all their help and knowledge.  Always willing to help.  If you look back here:   http://stampingsueinconnecticut.blogspot.com/2010/07/freeform-peyote-bracelet.html  to see the two other bracelets I made you can see the difference between them.  The first, green one is five rows then with the red/brown one I did a couple more rows now with this b & w one it is more like a cuff bracelet because I couldn't stop I just kept going & going & going.  Do need to take a break from beading, though because these old eyes need a rest so back to stamping this week.  enjoy!

Freeform peyote bracelet

No stamping today.  Yes, the die heart stamper is taking a break to do some beading.  I took a class earlier this week at a local bead store, Beads, Seed Beads, Czech Glass, Milford CT | MANIFEST BEADS and made a freeform peyote bracelet.   I made the green one in class with instructor Kira helping me all the way through it and the red/brown tone one I did at home yesterday all by myself.  I do like the green one better for two reasons first it's my color and second it is more consistent having Kira there helping me.  I want to start a new one today with black & white color theme and go back to store to get a couple of things clarified for me with Kira. 
Don't worry I am still and will always be a die heart stamper but it is fun sometimes just to stray a little.  enjoy!
