Fan fold cards

 Fan fold cards

I am liking these fan fold cards.  They are called Fan fold but there is no folding involved ... just a lot of cutting to look like a fan.

stamps/supplies used:  Altenew Darling Rose stamp set, SU DSP

The above blue Fan fold cards are actually 5" x 7" cards.  You can see all the instructions to create these cards on this post.

These green fan fold cards with the poppies are scaled down to A2 size cards.  A2  (4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded) cards are my preferred size.

stamps/supplies used:  Altenew dancing poppies stamp/dies set, SU DSP

basic instructions (sized down by Frenchie stamps):

Base card 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Mark 2" from the end of the card on the long side.

Cut from 2" mark to bottom point of the card.  Save this pointed triangle that was cut from the base card.

On the 4" x 5 1/4" layer mark 2" on top of the 4" side.  Cut from 2" mark to bottom point of the card.  Place in trimmer and cut off 1/4".  This triangle will be layered onto the first triangle that was cut from the base card.

Pattern paper 3 3/4" x 5" layer.  Mark at 1 3/4" on top of layer.  Cut from mark down to bottom point of card to create triangle and layer for base card.  Trim this triangle 3/8" off.  Layer onto the triangle that is a big bigger.

On 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" layer (use same color as base).  Place 3 1/2" side in trimmer - shift to the right - cut point to point.  Use one of these triangle for card.  Save the second triangle for another card.

On 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" (layer color) card - cut same as 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" card to make two triangles.  Again use one and save the other.

Pattern paper 3" x 4 1/4" - Place 3" side in trimmer - shift to right and cut point to point.  Like before use one and save the other.

Assemble card:

Layer the biggest triangle on front of the base card so none of the points of the triangle go off the card.

Layer smaller triangle on top of the bigger triangle on the front of the base card.  Decorate as needed.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back soon.
