March - music and April - craft squares

March - music and April - craft squares

I belong to a local card swapping group, that gets together once a month.  Sometimes we need to skip a month, and that is why I am showing two today.

Theme for March was music.  I went into my wood stamps from way back when for this card.  The main image is a CD or big record, which ever you would like it to be.

I stamped it a couple of times to get the two colors on it, then stamped some small music notes/saying around it.  All these stamps are from companies that are long around, so no reason to name them.

April theme is Crafty squares.  These squares are 3 1/2" so you can fit nine of them together in a frame, that are called Sampler squares.  Again I got out some Hot Potatoes old wood stamps that are longer available.  I have a large selection of stamps in my stash that I can work from ... so why not.

You can see what I mean here in this post from 2018.

Here's also another one done that same (2018) year.

Back in 2018 we did this idea a couple of times.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come back soon.

May Flower sampler squares

 May Flower sampler squares

stamps used:  Stampin' Up

May is spring flowers so for my creative card crew group I did tulips.  This is actually a 3 1/2" square which is called sampler square.  There are nine of us in this group; each of us made one square then what you can do is put all the squares together in a picture shadow frame.

Here is a past sampler squares swap we did back in 2018

You can check out these posts to see more here and here.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again soon.

winter 9 squares

There are nine 3 1/2" squares on a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock.  This is my set of 9 squares but only one is mine...confused?  I belong to a local card swap group and this month instead of cards we decided to do these fun squares with a winter theme.  I put everyone's names on the squares ..... mine is the penguins in the middle.  I haven't put mine in a frame, yet.

I also took a photo of Jeanne's (one of our members) squares but see how nice it looks in a frame.

You can see we put our squares in different places but all is good.  Jeanne also put her square in the middle.

This was a fun change from our normal card swap.

The new thing with my local card swapping group is making these 9 card samplers.  This one is Fall/Autumn themed but we also did a Summer one.

Below in this post is a quick video or you can go to Sue Wisniewski - YouTube  to see it with still shots in the video.  let me know what you think of this type of video with still shots.....this is the first one I did so they will get better.
