Over on Paper Makeup Stamps blog they are doing a challenge.....make a thank you Christmas card.
Here is my card:
I decided to use a steaming cup of tea for my thank you and I did some paper piecing on the cup. The cup is from Paper Makeup Stamps - PaperMakeupStamps.com . The background is one of Tim Holtz texture fades. Oh yeah it's also a circle card which I made with a sizzix 4" circle die. To make a card you just place folded cardstock just inside the blade.

Winter Wonderland ----NOT! ---- scroll to bottom for extra info!
I'm not a snow person but I will admit since I don't have to go out it's not too bad. I'm more of a spring or fall person.
The tree in my neighbor's yard looks pretty in this photo but when I took the picture it was snowing with high winds ......... speaking of winds it just blew and scared me.
The storm is pretty much done now except for the winds and the bitter cold but it New England. We got up to 15" of snow depending where you stand. I guess you can call it a Winter Wonderland I'm just not a fan of the winter. At least I don't have any little ones so don't have to go out and build snowmen anymore.....that's a plus.

Happy day after Christmas! --- Faerie ornament quick tutorial
Yesterday was very nice and calm for us and that is the way I like it.
Here are a couple of Faerie Song Art Stamps ~ Fantasy Themed Images angel ornaments made with 'The Ranger Ink memory glass. The fun thing I did first was make my own shimmery glitter cardstock with 'The Ranger Ink stickles. I spread out the stickles with my finger on the cardstock, let dry and viola! homemade glitter cardstock. Stamp angel image on glass with Ranger archival jet black ink, let it dry. When everything is dry all you have to do is place it all inside the metal memory frame, close it and you are done.
enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Are you naughty or nice?
Well, are you naughty or nice?????
Had fun making a few of these suspended cards to send to a select few. Used Nestabilities scallop which makes doing the opening very easy in years past had to use exacto knife and that is never a good thing with me.
Did a Thursday Tutorial here: http://stampingsueinconnecticut.blogspot.com/2009/09/monkey-suspended.html

Angel ornament - quick tutorial
Made these Ranger Memory glass without the frames. They are easy to do just stamp angel image Faerie Song Art Stamps ~ Fantasy Themed Images with 'The Ranger Ink Archival Jet Black ink on the memory glass and let it dry. On a piece of cardstock squirt Ranger stickles and spread it out with the best tool ever........my finger! Ha! ha! you thought I was going to tell you about a new and great tool .....fooled you. My finger is the best tool for this technique of making glitter paper. Let the glitter paper dry completely before continuing. After it is dry place the stamped memory glass on top of the glitter paper and edge it with double stick silver or copper tape. Add a piece of tinsel ribbon for a hanger and you are done.
Gave these as little gifts to friends at a get together the other day.
Also wanted to let you know that over on Erika's blog Ink Cut & Fold she is doing a huge giveaway. check it out when you have a chance.

The Stampsmith challenge #3
The challenge was to make a card for someone who does a service for you. I picked my hair dresser and mail carrier.
I decided to make envelope cards so I could enclose a gift card from Dunkin Donuts so they could get a cup of tea/coffee and a muffin on me.
The base of the cards are a #10 size envelope. Basically they are folded almost in half then tape decorative papers and stamped images to the pockets. Inside the pockets just made tags that I stamped sayings. If you would like a tutorial on this envelope card just leave me a comment saying, "I'd like a tutorial on making an envelope card." and I'll do it. enjoy!
