I always have fun when I play with Distress inks. For this card (click on image to enlarge) I started out doing wrinkle free distress with aged mahogany, rusty hinge & dusty concord. I know strange color combination but that's me always going for the unusual. After drying card I decided it needed more distressing so I first I added more color using blending tool. After blending more color on card I decided to add water droplets for the faux bleach effect. Next stamped with dusty concord ink. Die cut flowers with new Tattered Florals die. Blended same inks with blending tool, punched hole added brad. Rubbed on some Distress stickles rock candy with my finger....let dry then added to card.
enjoy!

Watercolor
Here are three cards I did using watercolor paper and Twinkling H2o's at least I think that is what they are called. Anyone who knows for sure please let me know. These backgrounds are fast, fun and fabulous. There are a couple of ways to do them first is to wet the watercolor paper then add color. Second is drop a few drops of water into the Twinkling containers and work from there. Either way I think they just come out great. enjoy!
Oh yes, in case I forgot to mention all the above cards were made with Memory Box stamps......not affiliated in any way just like their images.

A work in progress
These cards are a work in progress right now. The first card is a criss cross pocket card. The main image Paper Post is by ASITH, the little swirl is unknown because started this over a friend's house. The other three cards are flip flap cards. No stamping, yet just decorative papers. Have no idea what images to use on these cards. Will have to think on it for a few days so come back next week to see finished cards. If you have any idea what images to use please leave me a comment. enjoy!

Bird in a gilded cage
At a friend's house the other day we were playing with Tim Holtz new bird cage die. What fun! I didn't think I would really have much use for it but after playing with it I can't wait to make more. The half of bird cage happened by accident when trying to just punch out the bird ....... but ....... doesn't it look great! These are flip flap cards that are not finished as of yet so I guess you can call them a work in process. Come back next week to see finished cards. enjoy!

Ophelia
Here is an atc (artist trading card) I made for a small swap of just 3 of us. We are doing the alphabet so when I was looking through my drawers of stamps I came across Ophelia in my Stampsmith drawer and felt she would be perfect for "O". The background is using Ranger blending tool but instead of blending the colors I just patted it down to create the rectangles of colors. Easy but effective. enjoy!

Fun with Faerie Song

This trio of mermaids in a sea of pink and yes, it is more of a pink or maybe raspberry color is a bookmark that will probably be a little surprise for my husband who is an avid reader. The mermaids are colored with Prisma color pencils. The background is done with my old favorite tool the stipple brush. Next is a little green faerie that just sparkles with gems on her wand & wings. The ink also shines a bit because it is Brilliance ink. All images are from Faerie Song Art Stamps ~ Fantasy Themed Images enjoy!
