Explosion!

Explosion as in Explosion fold card.  I haven't made one of these cards in years but all of a sudden I got an urge to make a couple.  This is actually a card I sent out yesterday for a swap I'm in ...... a little sad because this swap is closing so this is the last card for this swap.  I wanted to do something different so I thought bring back the explosion fold card so I did.  The owl on the front is Perfect Pearls technique.     Now I want to see if anyone pays any attention to me here or are my posts just going out to cyber space so if you want to know how to do the explosion fold or want to know the Perfect Pearls technique please leave me a message.  I know I can count on one of my dear friends to let me know but I know she knows how to fold the explosion so anyone else interested?
enjoy!

Nice to have you come by

I have noticed in the past week that I have a few more followers........that's GREAT!  I really enjoy sharing what I know and seeing comments on what you like or even don't like.  Keep those comments coming.
Here are a couple of cards I did a couple of years ago.  The moon card is the saran wrap background and the goldfish has a faux layer background.  If you have never done these backgrounds leave me a comment and I will be glad to do a tutorial on either or both.  enjoy!

More from Starving Artists booth at convention

I told you I liked Starving Artists creatures and rooms.  Here are the last of the pictures I took at Starving Artists booth at the W. Springfield convention earlier this month.  Good ideas that I will work off when I pull out all the new images I purchased.  I can also see in my head slider & pop-up cards using these images.  enjoy!

Comments

I have just changed my comments so you need to do the word verification.  I'm sorry for this but I have been getting garbage/advertisement comments so I'm hoping this will discourage that.  Please still leave me comments ..... it only takes a second to do the verification.  Sorry for this inconvenience.

More pictures from W. Springfield convention

More pictures from W. Springfield, MA convention earlier this month.  Nestibilities now have stamps that fit their cutting dies!  Great idea.  My friend bought a set and she has been going crazy making cards.  This birthday card with the rose is by my friend Grace using the Nestibilties with matching stamp.  Good job Grace!

The Butterfly and other flowers were samples out on table at the booth at convention.  Also what impressed me were these new punches that they were demo-ing at the same booth.
enjoy!

Witches in June

These are pictures that I took at Springfield, MA convention last weekend.  I did not make these cards they were samples on boards up at Starving Artists booth.  I do love their images.  I couldn't resist these witches.  I really like the birthday witch!  I think I will have to make some birthday witch cards for my friends this year.  The other samples are using the other witches on same sheet of rubber.  Can't wait to get them out and ink them up!  I know it's only June ....... I think witches are undatable.  lol!  enjoy!

Springfield, MA ... MITI's

I did two MITI's at convention this year, could have done more but just got distracted and never went back to other booths that were doing MITI's.

This is the card I did with Susan at The Stampsmith booth.  The image is stamped on glossy cardstock and that didn't really scan well.  It is definately better in person.  As I mentioned it is stamped on glossy cardstock with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink then colored in with artist chalks.  An easy but very effective technique.

This Alice ATC I created with Jill (TJ Designs by Tweety Jill) over at Marco Paper booth.    There were different sets with Alice in Wonderland theme.  Had fun creating this atc.  We added color with cat's eye ink pads to the edges of the card and tag, colored in Alice with color pencils.  Oh yes, did something I've never done before ...... the ATC is a real playing card...mine is the King of hearts.  First sanded the glossy playing card then added Alice in Wonderland decorative paper which is also sold by Jill.
enjoy!

Springfield convention

I went to Springfield convention this past Sunday.  Had a good time with a couple of friend going to see what if going on in the stamping world.  It's always fun to be able to see and touch the new products before purchasing.  Sorry no pictures.
My fun find was at Sparkle n Sprinkle booth .... flocking & glitter all in one.  I'm not big on flocking but I do go back & forth with glitter so this was an unique find for me.
Stamps!!!  At The Stampsmith booth I got images of I Love Lucy!  Can't wait to play these stamps.  Starving Artists have sheets of rubber of great creatures and rooms that I just had to have so they are now on EZMount and ready to go.  Outlines have out new sets of flowers to mix & match & mount.....couldn't resist a set of them.  I plan on playing this week so come back to see what I create.

Shades of Pink

This is a prototype of an ATC I created for a small swap I am participating in and why I decided to do pink is beyond me ...... as my friends know I don't usually do pink or red.
This was fun to do even if I did do pink because I rediscovered an old technique called spotlighting.  Had forgotten this technique and so it was from to bring it back.
If anyone doesn't know how to do this technique just leave me a comment and I'll do a tutorial on it.
enjoy!

I've been slow in getting my group's Postcard Buddies shown so here are the "E"s for all to view.  Remember you can click on pic to enlarge.
