Just for you Scarecrow

Here is a fun card with a shrink plastic scarecrow element and a bleach technique.
Shrink plastic can be scarey but if you just follow a couple of simple rules you shouldn't have any trouble.  First sand both sides of shrink and use the proper inks such as Brilliance fast drying pigment, Colorbox or VersaMagic chalk ink pads and any permanent inks like Ranger Archival inks or Staz-On.
Bleaching has different looks with each cardstock you pick.  Here I used a goldenrod color cs which gave a nice vanilla effect after bleaching.  After the bleach out image dried I added some color with artist chalks.

All images are by Sunday International Dee Gruenig design.

Oriental scene

This is a larger image by Stamps by Lasting Impressions with Panache that works well with their block stamps.
For this card I stamped the four square block stamp, mask off the sections.  Add color with stipple brushes then stamp image.  Remove masks and reveal the sectioned off picture.

I will be away for a week visiting family so postings will resume after I come back home.  Thank you for visiting my blog.  stamping sue

Another resist technique
stamp credits:

Scroll Border & small element designs – Chinese ATC EZMount stamp set (SI)

You're So Thoughtful – ATC Mini Words EZMount stamp set (SI)

supplies:

Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black (SI)

Ranger Adirondack Dye ink pads – Eggplant, Bottle, Lettuce (SI)

Ranger Heat It craft tool – heat gun

Tsukineko VersaMark watermark stamp pad (SI)

Tsukineko Encore Ultimate Metallic – Enchanted Evening (SI)

Marco's Paper Kromekote Cover 10 Pt. Cardstock (www.marcopaper.com)

Scotch 3M ATG (adhesive dispenser)

Fiskars Scallop Paper Edger

Staples Stickies adhesive notes (any brand post-its will work)

Ribbon

Cosmetic sponge wedges (any drug store)

Instructions:

1.Stamp scroll border and small element designs with VersaMark ink diagonally on Kromekote card. Dry completely with Heat tool.

2.Rip stickie note to create a mask and position it a couple of inches from the right edge.

3.Apply Lettuce ink to cosmetic sponge wedge and with firm pressure add ink to area that is masked off. With same sponge blend Bottle ink over parts of the Lettuce ink in a downward motion. Add shading to edge where mask is with Eggplant ink on a new sponge.

4.Remove mask. Rip another stickie note mask and position it below the first area changing the angle of the mask. Apply Bottle ink to this area varying the amount of ink. Add just a touch of Lettuce ink to give the edge closest to the mask some highlighting. Overlapping the color will not hurt the design. Repeat this process alternating the color schemes with the masks.

5.Buff the card with a soft cloth to make the resist images pop.

6.Ink scroll border image with Encore Enchanted Evening and stamp below each row of resist images.

7.Stamp You're so thoughtful with Archival Ink Jet Black in the bottom left corner of card.

8.Trim stamped card with Fiskars paper edger to 3 ¾” x 5” then layer onto black (4 x 5 ¼”) card and light olive green note card with ATG.

9.Add black ribbon bow to top left corner of card.
